Opposite polarities, engaging in an irresistible dance of unstoppable attraction.
Within the parallel and sweet continuum of our dimensional life,
it seems that this is how it´s meant to be.

When every home in the country had a resident nymph making everything green, wet and lush.
A beauty of a grown with a heavily monastic feel and cut. Draped all around, cut deep in the back with a squarish front and held together with ribbons in the same fabric of the gown. Perfect for the nymph or fairy we all carry inside.

The time you found the perfectly soft denim shirt in SL or RL.
Back before the mesh revolution in SL, Coco was already a stylish brand. The outfit above is all mesh and extremely well made and tailored.
Worn together or separately I fell in love with both pieces and absolutely love the pairing of the seeming roughness of denim with the delicacy of the most transparent lace.
A perplexing contradiction of sorts to suit the most complex souls within its apparent simplicity.
Coco – Lace Pencil Skirt in Beige + Denim Shirt in Mid Blue. Oyen – Vintage Double loop watch. 7891 – rings. Hair by Tableau Vivant.
It was bound to happen. A shift towards almost effortless dressing has begun. While a few years ago a similar look would require layer upon layer or attachments and accessories, today, a single mesh layer does the trick. The effect is similar to that which usually takes place when you are dressing in the summer with a single layer dress. It makes you feel chic and well put together in a very comfortable easy way. All the pieces in this story have been chosen because of its ease of use.
Once such dress is the Miamai above, which in spite of its intricate design and vaporous style is the epitome of ease. This is a formal, strapless dress. The poufs of the skirt are controlled and placed strategically to provide visual interest and emphasize the fluidity of the dress as they act as an overly to the gauzey fabric below. The top is crowned with ¨guipure¨ type lace strategically placed in a slant. A truly magnificent confection. Miamai – Shae Dress. sYs – Sunglasses. Lagyo – Ring. Zaara – Necklace. BSD – Clutch
Moving from formal to overtly sexy but still with the same ease of use and comfort, is the club appropriate dress by Smesh! above. The chain necklace holds the dress up in the front as it plunges deeply all the way below your belly button. The fit around the breast area is perfect, and although it shows almost all it still covers enough. Backless, it hugs your bottom curves. It comes in two equally yummy versions: Gold & Silver. Wear it with caution. Smesh! is dangerously SMESHxy! Smesh! – Gold Chained & Silver Chained Dress. Envy – Belly Diamong. Ryca – bracelets
The Circus Dress by Petit Chat with it´s artwork print, is a wonderful addition to your closet. Style it up, down or role-play. The possibilities are endless. The print is original artwork from Trinity Yazimoto. The outfit comes complete with a mask and the cutest matching underwear. A strapless bodice opens up into 3 tiered flares making it flirty and nonchalant at the same time. Petit Chat – Circus Dress. PM – Roses Tiara (from the Ninde Gown). LaGyo – Bracelets.
Another FFL exclusive from Petit Chat. An empire waist dress. Not too short but with an ample and pleated décolleté with string straps. The print itself is like the name of it … ¨like a dream,¨ another original artwork by Trinity Yazimoto giving the dress a dream, watery quality that is very hard to miss. Petit Chat – Like a Dream Dress. Mons – Jewelry.
A summer favourite from MEB. In red silk with a harlequin pattern. It ties in the back and is criss crossed in the front. Beautifully and effortlessly sexy. MEB – Miu Miu Dress. Epoque – Bracelet. Gizza – Neck Flower
Here is the last of the FFL dresses I have chosen for today. The story behind it is that of friendship and love. I want to reproduce here the words of the beautiful Monica Outlander, the creator of Miamai, because I certainly could not do a better job than her at explaining her feelings and motivations.
¨This year I join Fashion For Life in a little different way. Some of you may know that I was close to Squinternet, the designer behind Donna Flora, that left us recently because of cancer. In the last months of her life, she missed creating for SL. I offered her to be her hands, and together we created some dresses for her brand. We looked at pictures together for inspiration, brainstormed a little, then I would make the mesh model and the texture, and she would approve it.
Some weeks ago Cajsa Lilliehook contacted me to suggest me to have Miamai in FFL together with Donna Flora, in a way: I am offering again the dresses we created together, 100% to RFL, in her memory. I think Cajsa had a beautiful idea, and that Squinti would indeed be happy to be part of this Fashion For Life!¨
What a wonderful way to honour a friend and very much missed designer.
Donna Flora – Doris Dress (the peacock color is exclusive for FFL). Maitreya – Shoes. Eclectica – Pearls
Last but not least two outfits unrelated to FFL but just as wonderful. The Gizza Marine Outfit. A toreador type tight held up with a belt, paired together with a billowy romantic blouse with a big boat neck and flowy sleeves. It comes in different prints and combinations but here I have decided to mix and match among them. A) Gizza – Marine Outfit (Ocean Tights & Naval Blouse) + Betty Heels in blue. Bandit – Necklace. B) Gizza Marine Outfit (Sketch Tights & Ocean Blouse). Addict – Necklace. Fleshtone – Bag.
Finally a dress I would take to my upcoming RL vacations. Reminiscent in feel to a Jean Paul Gaultier number I have in RL, this dress is comfortably sexy. A swimsuit coverup (you can see the swimsuit peeking from underneath), it also comes with a thin leather belt to hold it all in place. Available in different colors. Gizza – Sailor Dress in Red. LaGyo – Bracelet (quite Popeye!).
