Faerie Cool

Her Coolness

Her father had inherited an elf and Dumpy was his name.     The story went that her Great-Grandfather Ben had brought it with him from Ireland way back then.

Right before dying, ¨Grandpa Ben¨  left Dumpy to care for his grandchild Owen.    All of Owen´s children saw him except for the girls.   The two sisters had to take Dumpy´s existence on faith.   She,  being the eldest, would awaken to find her three little brothers trying to catch the ¨little blonde guy¨ with the red jacket.  She never really saw him but she believed in him.   She came from a magical family.  Magic had been in her family for generations.

… Years later she fell in love with the wrong one.   She touched her chest and wished to be spared the pain of living without him or that of being married to another man.    When her cry was heard, she slowly reduced in size as lacy web like wings sprouted from her back.

¨You are safe¨  Dumpy said as she discovered the family secret … they were all … Faes …
